PINELLAS COUNTY, FL — Kathleen Peters today announced the endorsement of Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri in her campaign for re-election to the Pinellas County Commission.
“I’m proud to endorse Kathleen Peters for her re-election to the Pinellas County Commission,” said Sheriff Bob Gualtieri. “Whether she was serving in the Florida Legislature or in her current capacity on the County Commission, she’s always been a strong supporter of law enforcement and first responders. She has actively created and supported good policy that supports our mission and keeps our communities safe. I’m thankful for her voice and support on the County Commission.”
“I’m honored to have Sheriff Gualtieri’s support,” said Kathleen Peters. “Public safety is one of the most important responsibilities of local government. I will continue working to support our law enforcement officers and first responders, protect taxpayers, and keep Pinellas County focused on the core services our residents rely on every day.”
Peters has served on the Pinellas County Commission since 2018, where she has focused on public safety, fiscal responsibility, behavioral health, infrastructure, and environmental issues. Prior to joining the County Commission, Peters served six years in the Florida House of Representatives, where she worked to expand access to behavioral health treatment and improve the way communities respond to mental illness and substance abuse disorders. On the Commission, she has continued that work by supporting policies that help move behavioral health treatment from the criminal justice system into the healthcare system while keeping county government focused on its core responsibilities.
Paid by Kathleen Peters, Republican, for Pinellas County Commission, District 6.
Pinellas County deserves a proven, common-sense leader who keeps taxes low, supports our families, and protects our beaches and water.
