PINELLAS COUNTY, FL — Kathleen Peters today announced the endorsement of Congressman Gus Bilirakis in her campaign for re-election to the Pinellas County Commission.
“I’m proud to stand with Kathleen Peters for re-election to the Pinellas County Commission,” said Congressman Gus Bilirakis. “I’ll give it to you straight — Kathleen is exactly the kind of conservative leader Pinellas County needs right now. She fights every day to end the affordability crisis, to protect our seniors and veterans, and to help hardworking Florida families keep more of their hard-earned paycheck. Kathleen puts America First, she puts Pinellas First, and she never backs down from the radical left. We need her on the County Commission, and I’m personally asking every conservative in Pinellas to stand with her.”
“I’m honored to have Congressman Bilirakis’s support,” said Kathleen Peters. “Gus has been a steadfast champion for our veterans, our seniors, and the families of the Tampa Bay region for nearly two decades. I share his commitment to putting Pinellas first, protecting taxpayers, and making Florida affordable again. I will continue working to strengthen public safety, improve infrastructure, protect our beaches and waterways, and keep Pinellas County a great place to live, work, and raise a family.”
Peters has served on the Pinellas County Commission since 2018, where she has focused on public safety, infrastructure, transportation, water quality, behavioral health, and fiscal responsibility. Prior to joining the County Commission, Peters served six years in the Florida House of Representatives, where she worked to expand access to behavioral health treatment and improve the way communities respond to mental illness and substance abuse. On the Commission, she has continued that work while advocating for responsible budgeting, environmental protection, beach nourishment, and policies that keep Pinellas County moving forward.
